Equal first (with Michele Thomson, McDonald Ellon) is Carly Booth (Comrie), in 9th place is Jacqueline Sneddon (Alyth) and in 19th place is Eve Muirhead (Pitlochry). To remain in contention, each girl has to play in a minimum of 9 designated tournaments of 14. Good luck for the rest of the season!

It was a fabulous day at Strathmore for our first meeting of the season.

The girls obviously enjoyed the courses as the scoring was excellent.

Nine Holes:

Very well done to all these girls and everyone else who took part.
Many thanks to all the ladies who walked round with the 9-hole girls and to Strathmore Golf Club for the wonderful hospitality.
Sorry there are no pictures but I forgot the camera will do better next time.

Excellent win for the Northern Division at Ballumbie Castle

The Northern Division Team comprising our own Annabel Niven (Crieff), Eilidh MacKay (Nairn Dunbar), Sammy Vass (Tain), Lauren MacCallum (McDonald, Ellon), Ashley Smith (Kirriemuir) and Kirsty Moss (Monifieth) were victorious at the Girls' Inter Divisional Matches held at Ballumbie Castle, Dundee, this weekend.
Northern Division beat the South 3 - 0 on Saturday and played the East Division who beat the West. In a close fought contest, Annabel & Eilidh beat Rachael Archibald (Merchants of Edinburgh) & Cara Easton (Dalmahoy) 5 & 4, Sammy & Lauren beat Rachael Watton (Baberton) & Gillian Simpson (Baberton) 3 & 2 and Ashley & Kirsty lost to Arleen McGarty (Bathgate) & Hannah Dalrymple (Glenbervie) 2 & 1.
East & West shared third place halving their match. The golf over the whole weekend was excellent, a really good experience and enjoyed by all concerned.

Congratulations to the Northern Division.

The inter-county Team Championships are being hosted by Perth and Kinross at Crieff Golf Club on June 24th, 25th and 26th. This is an ideal opportunity for our junior girls to come along and watch the cream of golfers compete at top level. The players will be from P&K, Angus, Aberdeenshire and Northern Counties. To be even more involved we are looking for girls to come along and caddy at the weekend. This will enable you to watch the golf from the best view available. If you don't fancy being a caddy then there are other jobs you could do to help over the weekend. To enable us to arrange a rota I would ask that you contact me on 01828 633000 or 01828 633395 and let me know your availability.

Season's first Junior Competition

Thirty four county junior members take part in their first County fixture of the season this Sunday at Strathmore teeing off from 10.00am on the Rannaleroch course and the 9 hole Leitfie course. Let's hope the weather holds and they all have a super day. Good luck everyone!
