Megan marches on!
13 year old Megan Aird (Strathmore) continues to amaze everyone with her wonderful golfing acheivements. Megan got her first 18 hole handicap this season - starting at 26. She immediately reduced to 24 then to 21. Megan has joined the SLGA competition circuit and took part in the Ladies Junior Open Strokeplay Championships at Stirling this week. An excellent scratch 91 in the second round reduced her handicap and then a final round scratch 87 - nett 66 won her the under 14s best nett of the day! Megan's handicap is now 18.3.
I have just heard news from Strathmore - Megan has played today and shot a nett 68 and reduced her handicap still further to 17.4.
Well done Megan!

Fine performance by County Junior at Crieff
County junior member Annabel Niven lost narrowly in the Club Championship final at Crieff last evening. She was playing against Maureen Copland who started very strongly and who didn't drop a shot until the eighth hole. By this time Annabel was 5 down. In a spirited fight back Annabel lost the match on the eighteen hole when her putt to take the match to extra holes lipped out.
Our congratulations to Annabel for a wonderful effort.
